He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gumm and Gladys Gumm (Trula); his son Paul David; his siblings-in-law, Bobbie Mayfield, Ruby Quillen, Earl, Lula McMahan and Claude Purkey; and his niece Cheryl Purkey.
He is survived by: his sons, Kevin (Stephanie Gumm), Timothy and Candus Gumm (Claiborne); his grandchildren, Dylan Gumm (Kelsey), Megan Gumm, Elijah Gumm and Abigail Glann (Stephen); his great grandchildren, Payton, Charlotte, Finnegan Gumm and Olivia Gumm; his siblings-in-law, Paul and Belinda Purkey; his nephew Mark McMahan (Sheila); and his niece Cindy Zayas-Bazan (Eddie).
