She was predeceased by: her husband Tillman L. McCarter. She is survived by: her children, Stephen (Vickie Sue McCarter), Tillman T. (Angelia Faye McCarter) and Belinda Joan (Terrold Payne); her sister Rushia Remmenga of Michigan; and her caregivers, Laurie Lusk, Judith Chatterton and Nancy. She is also survived by 7 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren, and 6 Great-great Grandchildren.
