She was predeceased by : her husband Sam Sparks; and her siblings, Elmer McPherson, Paulette Coleman and Johnnie Mae Whitehead. She is survived by : her children, David Sparks (Lisa), Scot Sparks (Pam) and Janet Sneed (Mike); her brother James McPherson; her siblings-in-law, Martha Boring, Carolyn McPherson and Buck Whitehead; and her friend Brenda Hall. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 5th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Smith's Trinity Chapel (1402 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37803). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 5th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery (1406 Walt Price Rd, Sevierville, TN 37876).
