She was predeceased by: her husband Charles H. Newman; her parents, Brownlow M. Humphrey and Stella Caldwell Humphrey; her stepmother Myrtle Webb Humphrey; her daughter Barbara J. Cresse; her granddaughter Sheila Tolfa; her great grandchild Bridgett Tolfa; and her siblings, Floyd Humphrey, Joe Humphrey, Fred Humphrey, Lawrence Humphrey, Robert Humphrey and Helen Taylor.
She is survived by: her brother Arthur "Mick" H. Humphrey; her stepsons, Steve Newman and Joe Newman; her grandchildren, Terrance H. Wingo, Shelley Frank, Michael D. Wingo, Leslie M. Mealer and Stephanie Newman; and her great grandchildren, Terrance H. Wingo Jr., Kayla Bell, Lindsey Headrick, Alesha Wingo, Brandon Bell, Danny Frank, Nikki Frank and Kenny Frank. She is also survived by 8 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews.
