It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marie Grace Swenson Ibbetson of Maryville, Tennessee, born in Erie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 5, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Royal D. Shepard and Irma Shepard (Grace); and her former husband Jon E. Swenson, Sr.. She is survived by: her husband Fred Ibbetson; her sister Dr. Lynne Shepard; her sister-in-law Barbara Fairfax; her children, Marianne Swenson (John D'Alessandro), Jon E. Swenson, Jr. (Trudi Haddell), Melinda McNutt (James), Michael Ibbetson (Marci) and Bruce Ibbetson (Patricia Kelly); her nephew Chris Ibbetson (Patty); and her grandchildren, Katie, Kimberly, Jessica, Megan, Brianne, Samantha, Josh and Kristen. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
