He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Long and Neva Long; and his siblings, Helen Davis, Burl Long, R. B. Long and Horace Long.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lynn Long; his son James Long; his grandson Samuel Long; his stepgrandsons, Austin Williamson and Alex Williamson; his siblings, Imogene King, Junior Long (Anne) and Ralph Long (Melissa); and also Hope Long.
