She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lester and Myrtle Childers Sisson; and her siblings, John M. Sisson Sr. (Marian), Lee, Thelma Sisson, Annie Mae Powell (Rod) and Helen Thaxton (Bud).

She is survived by: her husband George W. Hammon, Sr.; her sons, G. William Hammon, Jr. (Cathy), R. Timothy Hammon (Kathleen) and Michael S. Hammon (Amy); her stepdaughter Letha A Hammon (Bland Dickey); her grandchildren, G. William Hammon III (Brittany), C. Elizabeth Hammon (Patrick Nichols), Julia C. Hammon, Madeline A. Hammon, Quinn G. Hammon and Bennett M. Hammon; her great grandchildren, Bailey J. Hammon, Lillian H. Nichols, G. William Hammon IV and Imogene H. Nichols; and her nephew John M. Sisson Jr. (Judy). She is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews and Sisson cousins.
