He was predeceased by: his parents, Oren L. Blackburn and Mabel Blackburn; his siblings, Tom, Frank, Keith, Oren Jr., Barbara Richardson, Jeanette Tomlinson, Yvonne Carter, Christine Jones, Norma Odum and Roberta Stewart; his grandchildren, Ciera Blackburn and Jason Davis; and his stepchildren, Teresa Haggard and Russell Lawrence.
He is survived by: his wife Nina Bishop Blackburn; his son Micheal (Sherrie); his grandchildren, Austin Blackburn and Tasha Haggard; his great grandchild Alaya Grimes; and his sister Ruth Anne.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Smith Trinity Chapel (1402 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37803). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Grandview Mausoleum Chapel (2304 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37803).
