He was predeceased by : his parents, Sherman Tyler and Winnie Tyler; and his parents-in-law, Billie and Lee Fields. He is survived by : his wife Jane Tyler (Fields); his son Randy Tyler of Maryville; his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Tyler of Piedmont, Peggy Brewer (Randy), Febia Fields and Rose Fields of Maryville; his nephew Rick Hill; his great-nieces, Haylee and Courtney Newell; and his great-nephew Austin Newell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (915 W Broadway Ave, Maryville, TN 37801). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 1st 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
