We bid farewell to John Dwight Broome of Maryville, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 14, 2024 at the age of 79. John Dwight touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Broome and Estelle Broome; his brother David; his sister-in-law Barbara Broome; his parents-in-law, Frank Sr. and Icie Myers; and his siblings-in-law, Frank Myers Jr. and Marjorie Myers.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pam (Randy Shofner), Teresa (Billy Smith) and Deborah (Randy Garland); his grandchildren, Bonnie Shofner, Will Smith and Ethan Garland; his siblings-in-law, David Myers and Sharon Myers; his nieces and nephews, Steve Broome, Bud Myers, Lee Ann Myers, Dana Myers Ryan and Rebekah Myers; and his close friend Arthur Teffeteller.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Forest Hill Baptist Church (1850 Forest Hill Rd, Maryville, TN 37803). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Grandview Cemetery (2304 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37803).
