He was predeceased by: his father Joe Tipton, Sr.; his sisters, Mona Lisa Tipton and Loretta Adams; his daughter Deanna Jones; his parents-in-law, Conard and Jean Hill; his brothers-in-law, Jerry Hill and Bill Keith; and his close friends, Carl and Sandy Bowers.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Hill Tipton; his son Joseph Russell Tipton; his mother Beulah Tipton; and his brothers, Lester Tipton and Boyd Tipton. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
