He was predeceased by: his son Joe Mack Burris Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Linda Burris; his daughter Nellie Ann Purkey; his grandson Daniel Burris; and his brother Tommy Burris. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
