He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Simerley Forshee; his children, Christina Lynn Simerley of Knoxville and Michael Travis Simerley of Maryville; his friend Alex Williams; his grandchildren, Ellie and Everly Burchfield; his sisters, Brenda (Glenn Lett) and Charlie (Ed Stice); and his siblings-in-law, Audrey and Mike Blum of Ohio.
