James Murphy Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 3, 2024, at the age of 78, James Murphy (Maryville, Tennessee) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Revester Key Murphy Jarnigan and Charles Murphy; his sisters, Regina Murphy Wallace and Maria Jarnigan; his son James "Squeeky" Yarbrough; his niece Samantha Jenkins; and his nephew Lamont Jarnigan.

He is survived by: his children, Sharon Yarbrough (Niecy), Kacey Boatwright, Carmen Yarbrough, Kevin Lee of Atlanta, George and Condus Murphy; his siblings, Dorothy Ann Murphy Jenkins (Kenneth) and William Janice Strong (Junie); his daughter-in-law Beverly Yarbrough; his stepbrother Johnny Red; his nephew Kenneth Jenkins, Jr. (Nikki); his nieces, Melanie, Kim, Shadrema, Kizzie Wallace and Takilya Jarnigan; and his close friends, Stenson Easley, Michael Dotson and Francell Golightly. He is also survived by great nieces, and nephews, and cousins.
