With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Monroe Jackson of Maryville, Tennessee, born in Quebeck, Tennessee, who passed away on October 25, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Comer Jackson and Pearl Jackson; his siblings, William "Bill", Johnnie, Jewel, Vaughn, Jean and Bessie; and his daughter Janet.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Jackson (McBrayer); his daughter Julie Bell (Brian); his grandchildren, Sarah Grace Heinemann and Nicholas Jackson Heinemann (Bailey); his niece Barbara Jean Henderson; his nephew Howard "Glenn" Jackson (Troy); his great-nephew Jordan Henderson (Whitney); and also Jackson James Henderson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Blount Memorial Hospice, 1095 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy., Maryville, TN 37804 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38106.
