He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bill Compton and Edna Moore Compton; his grandparents, Lonas Grant, Margaret Matilda Shields Moore, William and Maude Jane Brewer Compton; his wife Sharon Bradford Compton; his son Eric Compton (Sara); his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Brody and Baylor Compton; his siblings, Edna Ruth Berry and Harold Compton (Otti); his nieces and nephews, Melvin McNeal (Gina), Michele Bailey (Jimmy), Bill Compton (Melissa) and Doris Wilson (Tim); his great-nieces and great-nephews, James Grant Bailey, Michael Bailey, Emma Compton, Kendall Compton, Casey McNeal, Lindsey McNeal and Carissa Craver; and his grandfather Dumas.
