He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Crawford Cornett; his parents, George Cornett and Ada Burger Cornett; and his siblings, Martha Sue Bean and Wallace Cornett.
He is survived by: his children, Steve, Sarah Wetherington (Randall), Susan Ownby (Dean), Stephen Cornett (Kathleen) and Sam Cornett (Akiko); his grandchildren, Matthew Ownby (Junko), Lauren Ownby Ketner (Erik), Eric Wetherington (Amber), Dr. Brian Wetherington (Stephanie), Thomas Wetherington, Rachel Cornett Fields (Cody), Kevin Cornett (Courtney) and Erica Cornett; and his great grandchildren, Alexandra, Bennett Wetherington, Millie, Oliver, Libby Fields, Reed, Austin, Davis Cornett, Jackson and Adeline Wetherington.
