She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Allie McGuire and Katie McGuire; her husband George Thomas; her siblings, Robert McGuire and Ida Fambrough; her stepdaughter Gaynell Ferguson (Jimmy) of Alcoa Tenn; her siblings, Lessie Mack (Otis) of Statham, GA, Ida Louise (Richard) of Decatur, GA, Wylie McGuire (Sarah) of Statham, GA, Walter McGuire of Statham, GA and George McGuire (Barbara) of Duluth, GA.; her stepgrandchildren, Shannon Zachery (Kisha) of Alcoa Tennessee, Gene Mays (Tracy) of Cincinnati Ohio and Iris Aletha of Cincinnati Ohio; her close friends, Jimmy McRae (Sheri) of Alcoa, TN and Pedro Williams (Mary) of Alcoa, TN.; and also Carloyn Smith (Ron) of Athens. She was also cherished by her family, friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Foothills Funeral Home (910 E Lincoln Rd, Maryville, TN 37804). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Rest Haven Missionary Baptist Church (224 E Watt St, Alcoa, TN 37701). A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
