It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frederick John Ibbetson of Maryville, Tennessee, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Marie (Grace Shepard Swenson); his parents, Frederick Alfred and Alice Ibbetson (Oosting); and his brother Robert Ibbetson. He is survived by: his children, Bruce Ibbetson (Patricia Kelly), Michael Ibbetson (Marci), Marianne Swenson (John D'Alessandro), Jon E. Swenson, Jr. (Trudi Haddell) and Melinda McNutt (James); his nephew Chris Ibbetson (Patty); and his grandchildren, Katie, Kimberly, Jessica, Megan, Brianne, Samantha, Josh and Kristen. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
