He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Spence and Ed Spence; and his brothers, Joe, Robert, A. P., Steve and Walter Spence.
He is survived by: his wife Nina Spence; his daughters, Rose Fields, Nina Beasley (David) and Judy Wilson (Charles); and his siblings, Helen Kerr and John Spence. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
