Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Elsie Smalling of Maryville, Tennessee, who passed away at the age of 91, on September 2, 2021. She was predeceased by: her husband John David Smalling, Sr.; her parents, Hugh Joines Lee and Maggie Annabel Wright Lee; her siblings, Zoe Della Heifner Hatchett, Carl Wright Lee and Clyde Amos Lee; and her sisters-in-law, Jane Smalling Crussell, Phyllis Smalling Holloway and Anne Smalling Frazier.
She is survived by: her children, J. David Smalling, Jr. (Cindy), Margaret Jane Smalling Lane (Paul), Miriam Elsilee Smalling Frazier (Fred), Matthew Lane (Lauren), Thomas Baird Lane (Kelsey), Henry Kirg Lane, Andrew Lane (Melissa) and Emilee Frazier; her friends, Alma, Joe Hall, Emmit and Betty Rawls; and also, Anna Smalling and Sarah Smalling. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
