He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Catherine Houston; his daughters, Patty (Rubright) and Robyn (Fair); his wife Sandra Hicks; his children, Maelea (Galyon) and Rusty (Borden); and his grandchildren, Pop, Derick Rubright, Megan Viera and Troy Galyon. He was also cherished by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Friends who wish to honor him are asked to make donations to The Rocky Top Bourbon Charity which directly benefits veterans in the greater Knoxville area or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which he supported for many years.
