We are sad to announce that on October 28, 2024, at the age of 81, Edgar Hugh Griffing Jr. of Maryville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Edgar is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Hugh Griffing Sr. and Angela Cascio Griffing; his brother Victor Griffing Sr.; and his in-laws, Rev. Alvin and Bessie Patton.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Patton Griffing; his son Trey Speights; his brother Ronald V. Griffing Sr. (Myra) of Shreveport, LA; his siblings-in-law, Bernice Patton Long and Calvin Patton; and his niece Stephanie Mills. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
