He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Ann Broome (Epperson); and his parents, John Broome and Estelle Broome (LeQuire). He is survived by: his son Steve Richard Broome (Heather Garringer); his nieces, Pam Shoffner (Randy), Debra Garland (Randy) and Teresa Smith (Billy); his siblings-in-law, Mary Lou Epperson Liles and Michael Dean Epperson (Linda Wilson); his nieces, Roxanne Ashe (Michael Lederman), Angie Ashe, Julie Ashe and Dianne Epperson Kuntz (Dennis); and his nephew Jason Epperson.
