She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Russell and Louise Krick; and her sister Jean Painter. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Smith; her children, Vallerie Newman (Charles) of Luray, VA and Jeff Smith (Leah); her brothers, John Russell (Pat) and Jim Russell (Sue); and her grandchildren, Michael, William Newman of Luray, VA. and Lee Smith of Maryville, TN..
