It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Lindbergh Smith (Maryville, Tennessee), who passed away on May 12, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Howard Smith Sr. and Mae Ferguson Smith; his wife Marian Tipton Smith; his siblings, Junior Smith, Anne Bradley, Lela Bozeman, Frank Smith, Norma Jean Millsaps, Oscar Smith, Donnie Smith and Ruthie Millsaps; and his grandchildren, Chad Smith, Emily Paige and Darby Lane Tindell.
He is survived by: his children, Lowell Smith (Debbie), Terri Monaghan, Robin Henry and Chip Smith (April); his grandchildren, Tamsen (David), Corey (Liz), Hannah (Tierra) of Wade, TJ, Hunter, Gentry (Katelyn), Melina, Erin, Mattie, Lucas and Brooklyn; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Allison and Braylin.
