He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Kittrell Cochran; his daughter Charlene West; his granddaughter Brooke Stinnett; and his siblings, John M. Cochran and Darlene C. Kerley.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the building fund at Monte Vista Baptist Church or Shriners Children's Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
