It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Farr Shumer of Maryville, Tennessee, who passed away on August 28, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Homer Shumer; her parents, Bill Farr and Lenora Farr; and her siblings, Barbara, Linda and Mickey Farr.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sheila (Doug Overly), Kathy (Steve Biggar), Terri (Jeff Caylor) and Beth (Stevie Anderson); her grandchildren, Brandi, Rob Smith, Chad, Mallory Sunderland, Brett, Cynthia Biggar, Cody, Anna Sunderland, Paige, Kevin Roe and Hunter Anderson; her great grandchildren, Titus, Tinsley, Taylee, Lincoln, Lawson, Marley, Maya, Ruby, Nora, Lennox and Winnie; her siblings, Bill Farr, Brenda, Roger Lewis and Rita Franklin; and her close friend Rick Lowe. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
