He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Farrar and Mella V. Gilliland (Burden). He is survived by: his children, Betty Jones (David) of Martin, Kathy Gilliland (Matt) of Greenfield, Thomas Wayne Gilliland (LaRitha) of Fulton and Timothy Earl Gilliland (Shirley Mae Campbell) of Troy; his siblings, Martha Green of Dukedom, Larry Gilliland of Union City, David Farrar Gilliland of Clinton, Herbie Gilliland of South Fulton, Freddie Gilliland of Fulton and Justus Embry of Taylor, Texas; his grandchildren, James T. Dunn, NaKenzi Jones, Au'Siana Jones, D. J. Jones Jr., Chelsea Taylor, Charles Taylor, Kady Grooms, James Jennings, Thomas A. Gilliland (Kayla), Logan Gilliland (Brandi), Xander Gilliland, Brittany Phipps, Clayton Gilliland, Landon Campbell and Addie Mae Campbell; and his great grandchildren, Azaria Rooks, Darian Rooks, Vincent Stone and Thomas Braxton Gilliland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
