He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Legens and Zettie Legens; and his brother Bobby Ray Legens. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund.
