He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lawrence and Eugene Lawrence (McDaniel); and his wife Joyce Ann Taylor. He is survived by: his sons, Brian Lawrence (Carrie) and Justin Lawrence (Melony); his grandchildren, Joshua Lawrence (Sandy), Heather Tolbert (Adam), Brianna, James, Stephanie Burton (Lennie) and Amanda Myers (Pat); and his great grandchildren, Hayden Lawrence, Logan Lawrence, Liam Tolbert, Macy Tolbert, Remi Burton and Walker Burton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
