With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Blanton of Martin, Tennessee, born in Hickman, Kentucky, who passed away on October 2, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Oliver and Arline Oliver (Rice); her son Kenneth Blanton; her daughter-in-law Barbara Blanton; and her sister Jeanette Christian.
She is survived by: her spouse Gene Blanton; her children, Raymond Blanton of Sharon, John Blanton (Serena) of Martin and Aletha Richie (Terry) of Martin; her siblings, Barbara Turnbow of Union City and Vernon Oliver of Orange, Virginia; her close friend George Fisher of Union City; her daughter Rhonda; and her son-in-law David Taylor. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 1 foster granddaughter, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
