He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy Mays Elder and Mary Frances Freeman Elder; and his brother James Andrew Elder. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Elder of Martin; his daughters, Miranda McAdoo (Evan) of Smyrna, TN and Lyndsey Scott (Josh) of Clarksville, TN; his sister Marietta Nelms (David) of Murfreesboro, TN; his grandchildren, Jackson, Tucker McAdoo and Neyland Carter Scott; and his nephews, William Nelms (Michelle) of Murfreesboro, Andy Nelms (Michelle) of Murfreesboro and Tim Nelms (Angela) of Murfreesboro.
