She was predeceased by: her husband Bob Garrett; her son Jimmy Cox; her parents, Kelman Spencer and Eliza Spencer (Gilbert); and her siblings, Alma Smith, Faye Caudill, Thelma Combs, A. C. Spencer and Coy Spencer.

She is survived by: her daughter Paula Campbell; and her sisters, Aleene Creech (Glenn, Dottie Spicer) and Monella Keene (Roscoe). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
