She was predeceased by: her husband Russell Eugene "Hardrock" Downing; and her daughter Susan Downing. She is survived by: her children, Saundra Phillips of Phillipy, TN, Mary Gene Lavender (Mike) of Martin, TN and Russell Eugene "Bubba" Downing (Rozann) of Tiptonville, TN; and her grandchildren, George Morton of Briton Dean, J. R, Jana Seals, Jeremy Seals, Miranda Strain, Carrie Gooch, Letitia Bell, Russell Downing III, Kressida Melton, Noah Christian Downing and Jamie Brewer. She is also survived by twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
