She was predeceased by: her husband Carl Carter; her parents, Floyd Morris, Sr. and Opal Moon Morris; and her siblings, Herbert Morris, Floyd Morris, Jr. and Ruth Lackey.
She is survived by: her children, Ricky Carter (Debbie) of Dresden and Deniece Dungan (Horry) of Trenton, TN; her brother Leon Morris (Gerry) of Oak Ridge; and her grandchildren, Jada Scruggs (Chad) of Nashville, Rebekah Baker (Benji) of Murfreesboro, Anthony Carter (Dena) of Dresden and Brandi Heins (Brad) of Rockwood, IL. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
