He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Stafford Kerce; his daughters, Beth, Karen and Linda; his sons-in-law, Rick Chambers, David Browning and David Elrod; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Benjamin Laine (Mallory), John Elrod (Jenna), Kathryn Chambers Sanders and Rose Chambers; and his great grandchildren, Isabelle, Adelle, Benjamin Laine, Brooklyn Chambers, Nora Elrod, Lillian, Ashlyn and Riley Sanders. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to either the R.H. Kerce Mathematics Scholarship at Lipscomb University or to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort in Nashville.
