It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lanny Buchanan (Manchester, Tennessee), born in Shelbyville, Tennessee, who passed away on April 7, 2021, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Earl Buchanan and Renaecker Jean Britton Arnold; and his sister Patricia Murray. He is survived by: his wife Phillisa Buchanan; his children, TaCcara Norwood (Tommie), Ta'Neesa Buchanan and AnTwan Buchanan (Ashley); his grandchildren, Ja'vionne, A'ja Buchanan and Thompson Norwood; his stepfather Horace Wilson Arnold; his siblings, Mitchell Buchanan (Pam), James "Pop" Buchanan, Ken Buchanan (Karmen), Ken Arnold, Ricky Brandon, Marilyn Sanders (Eddie), Felicia Anthony (Mark), Iwanda Buchanan, Christa Alexander (Michael) and Shirley Sutton (Glenn); and his godchildren, Darryl McGee, Jr., Elijah and Araya Buchanan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
