He was predeceased by: his parents, James Aaron Middleton and Tennie Jane Dawson Middleton; his former wife Nellie Elizabeth Nelson Middleton; his daughter Sherry Sellers; his stepdaughter Tina Vazquez; and his siblings, James Aaron Middleton, Jr. of Conage Middleton, D. C, Jack Middleton, Bob Middleton, Gussie Vinson, Ruby King, Jimmie Cooper and Barbara Knight.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Middleton; his children, John Middleton (Billie), Steve Middleton (Jane), Jimmy Williams (Lynn), Pat Williams (Tammy), Manuel Williams (Carolyn) and Vicki Kilgore; and his sisters, Ann Peoples (Wallace) and Shirley Campbell. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
