It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Mayton Thomas of Manchester, Tennessee, who passed away on May 7, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Mayton and Juanita Smithson Mayton; her husband Dale Wayne Thomas; her son Leonard "Shayne" Finchum; her stepson Curtis Dale Thomas (Barbara Jane Finchum); and her siblings, Louise Mayton Ray and Mack Truman Mayton.
She is survived by: her children, Kenny Finchum (Sorrawee) of Beechgrove, Melanie Perry (Gary) of Hillsboro and Melissa VanMeter (Otis Long) of Tullahoma; and her siblings, John Mayton of Tullahoma, David Mayton of Manchester and Gayle Mayton of Hillsboro. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
