He was predeceased by: his parents, Landon Carter and Patricia Ann Jones Taylor; and his brother Landon C. Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Shelby J. McHan Taylor; his children, Lisa Davis (Dennis), Shannon Turk (Edward), April Davison (Stephen), Jennifer Sirmon (Wayne) and Heather DesLong; his stepson George Martin Thomas (Sarah); and his siblings, John Taylor (Sandy), Robert Taylor (Kim), Ann Taylor Everett, Susan Taylor Scott (Melvin) and Mary Taylor Hunt (Tom). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren.
