She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Franklin and Sitha Ferrell Lackey; and her husband Perry Kenneth Bennett. She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Cortner Bennett and Lori Dunn (Jeremy) of Manchester; and her grandchildren, Caitlin, Carlene, Kenna, Aiden, Rebecca Dunn, Kenneth and Kiera Bennett.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
