He was predeceased by: his father Johnny Newman; his stepfather Carl Lester; his brother Mark Lester; and his grandparents, Cecil, Gerry Newman, Ed and Elfrede Kirkland.
He is survived by: his children, Hunter Newman, Trevor Newman, Aiyahna Newman and Cassidy Brannon; his mother Penny Newman Lester; and his siblings, Debbie Newman Tallent, Sherrie (Allen Reynolds), Carla Lester and Mike Newman. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
