He was predeceased by: his wife Charlotte Strickland of Virginia; his daughter Judith Haas; his parents, Duggan Strickland and Josie McLemore Strickland; and his siblings, Bee, Billy Joe, Bonnie, Ernest, Pauline, Reed, Reese, Howard, Leslie, Purdie and Geneva.
He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Simpson, Sharon Malave and Joyce Ginsberg; and his grandchildren, Brian Simpson, Melanie Simpson, Natasha Donovan, Natalie Malave, Tony Malave, Justin Munz, Jeffrey Munz and Jason Ginsberg. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
