He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson Turpin and Lou Turpin; his grandparents, Lee B., Emma Turpin, Samuel and Tennie Stout; and his brothers, James Garland Turpin (Imogene), Billy Joe Turpin (Mae), Tommy Turpin, Flynn Turpin and Ronnie Turpin.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Turpin; his children, Brian Turpin (Vanessa) of Madisonville and Missy Campbell (Rick) of Knoxville; his grandchildren, Jonas Turpin (Erica) of Maryville, Brandon Turpin (Haley) of Tellico Plains and Ryan Campbell of Knoxville; his great grandchildren, Luke, Deacon, Lydie Turpin of Maryville and Natalee Turpin of Tellico Plains; his siblings, Mike Turpin (Regina) of Madisonville, Pam Turpin of Madisonville, Dean Turpin (Joan) of Madisonville and Sandy Turpin of Athens; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Anne Turpin and Terri Turpin of Madisonville. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
