With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Tipton Ray Sr. of Madisonville, Tennessee, who passed away on March 10, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Rachel Ann Ray; his parents, Ben Ray and Nora Evelyn Ray; and his siblings, Frank, Jack Ray, Betty Abrahamzon, Jo Ann Peterson and Nancy Wattenbarger Kennedy.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Hunt (Alan), Jim Ray Jr. (Terri), Scott Ray (Tracy) and Bo Ray (Heather); his grandchildren, William Hunt (Brittany), Christina Parson (Javin), Megan Stevens (Ryan), Hana Ray, Abby Ray, Erica Keener (Caleb), Anna Ray, Brody Austin, Tynleigh Ray, Easton Ray, McKinna Westfield, Brayden Westfield and Hunter Daffron; his great grandchildren, Ethan Hunt, Emily Hunt, Evan Hunt, Brooklyn James, Xander James, Arlie Keener, Webb Keener, Grace McGill, David McGill, Kylie McGill, Wesley Parson and Claira Parson; and his brother Ben B Ray Jr.. He is also survived by Several nieces & nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Vonore Baptist Cemetery.
