He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Dawn Curtis of Madisonville and Randy Curtis of Madisonville; his sister Barbara McCammon of Vonore; his sister-in-law Shirlynn Stewart of Maryville; his wife Lucy Stewart Curtis; his parents, Arthur Garrett Curtis and Reba Rosalee Hunt Curtis; and his brothers, Robert G. Curtis and Tony L. Curtis. He was also cherished by six nieces, seven nephews; many cousins and friends.
