He is survived by: his son Joseph Carl Murphy; his grandson Chance Murphy; his mother Margaret Estep Murphy of Ten Mile; and his siblings, Tim Murphy of Cookeville and Jennifer Bryan (James) of Roxboro, NC. He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
