He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Butler and Howard Butler; and his siblings, Glenna Butler, Linda Butler, Ernest Butler, Rosa Blankenship and Una Crump.

He is survived by: his daughter Beth; his son-in-law Shi Stovall; his grandchildren, Bliss Stovall and Brenson Stovall; his sister Annie Hunt; and his brother-in-law Robert Hunt. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
