She was predeceased by: her husband James Kirkland (Eddie); her parents, Roland Dorsey and Maudie Dorsey; and her siblings, Ruby Wallace, Pauline Bledsoe and Junior Dorsey.
She is survived by: her son Dale; her daughter-in-law Linda Kirkland; her granddaughter Ashley; her grandson-in-law Cody Beddingfield; her great grandchildren, Brayden Isaiah and Bella Grace Beddingfield; her brother Herbert Dorsey; and her nieces, Sandra Wallace and Latricia Wallace Sweet.
As Hazel was a lifetime advocate for animals, the family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial be made to the Monroe County Animal Shelter.
